Not too far from Ranakpur Rajasthan it is an unpaved road that leads to beauty so pristine that it could leave you speechless. The largely unknown destination of this journey is a forest lodge known as Thandi Beri, literally translating to a cool resting place. Usually used as a vantage point by forest officials for monitoring the fauna of the neighboring woods, Thandi Beri is largely deserted by human traffic. It is essentially a great vantage point to soak in the untouched natural beauty of Ranakpur and its neighboring regions.
Thandi Beri is a forest lodge located in the Kumbhalgarh Forest Range. One has to exit the highway at Ghanerao and then traverse a ‘Kutcha’ forest road to reach this isolated haven in the middle of the jungle. Once your senses recover from the pristine natural beauty of this venue, you can start to explore the wonderfully diverse flaura and fona of the area. The bird life in particular is something the guests should look out for.
There are a host of experiences which are possible at this venue ranging from trekking to a multi course meal under the moon light.
NOTE: As necessary permits need to be gained from the forest officials and offsite arrangements need to be made, it is essential to book your excursion to this lodge in advance. A regular itinerary would be as follows:

Itinerary
- Pick up From Hotel.
- Reaching Thandi Beri while enjoying the scenic view of the village and Forest Reserve.
- Relaxing with some Cold/Hot Drinks
- We were heading for the 2-3 km jungle Trek to explore the area’s wonderfully diverse flora and fauna.
- Enjoy the Sunset and explore the surrounding beauty before dark.
- Settle on the verandah and enjoy a drink of your choice with starters, a bonfire, and soothing music.
- Dinner is served with the elements of the local cuisine prepared under strict quality and hygiene standards.
- After morning tea head back to the hotel.

Thandi Beri falls under the forest department control. Travellingmonks takes all required permissions to carry out events at this venue.
We take extra efforts to ensure that no degradation of the area takes place due to activities conducted by us.
Thandi Beri is located in the Ranakpur – Kumbhalgarh forest reserve. As a result, there will be some insects and bugs in the area. Therefore, all guests are requested to behave in a manner which is conducive to a forest environment.
We recommend that the guests wear full sleeves shirts and pants along with close toed shoes.
We need a minimum of 4 days notice to prepare for this event.
Excursions to Thandi Beri will not be possible during the monsoons (July to September) or on days when it rains.
Payment: For the services contracted, a minimum deposit of 50% of the full cost is to be paid by you to Tour Company. The deposit is needed to hold the booking on a confirmed basis.
Balance Payment: Balance payment is to be created 15 days before the date of the start of services. Any booking created within 15 working days of the date of services would be thought-about to be a late booking and for same the total and final payment is needed to be created at the time of booking itself.
As per the govt. the directive, foreigners are requested to produce provided their passport as photo identity proof and Indians will produce any govt. Approved photograph identity like Driving Aadhar Card/License/Voter ID card/Passport at the point of check-in at the hotel.
All costs are in Indian Rupees and are valid for Indian nationals only.
